Trio M is an all-star collective featuring pianist Myra Melford, bassist Mark Dresser, and drummer Matt Wilson. Each member is a prolific bandleader, significant composer, and first-call supporting musician. In this leaderless project, everyone contributes compositions that, in their live performance, are directed equally by all three improvising musicians.

Fans of classic piano trios will find a lot to enjoy here, but this cutting-edge unit moves beyond the genre’s conventional structures, and the group is known for fun, unpredictable sets that cover a wide range of ideas. Anyone interested in accessible, modern improvised music should make an effort to catch Trio M in action.

There is a 48 hour cancellation fee of $50.00 per person that will be charged to your credit card in the form of a gift card that can be used at a future visit to Bacchus Kitchen.

Doors will open at 6pm on the night of the event, followed by three courses of Chef Beltran's eclectic cuisines. The first and second courses will be served prior to the show, followed by intermission and dessert, ending with the final performance.

This trio consists of a swingin’, energetic organist from Japan, a talented young guitarist from Los Angeles and a veteran jazz drummer originally from Indiana.

Their passion for the music has brought together this compatible trio.  

They invite the listener into their realm of how they feel about music... always a joyous occasion.  They play to make each other sound as good as they can possibly sound. As this trio proves, it doesn’t matter where you’re from, the music is the language that we all “speak”.
